Three floors of timber and glass on the Corumbê hillside
The house

Three floors, five suites' worth of sleep, one enormous view.

Vista Linda stands tall on the upper hillside of Corumbê — three timber floors stacked so that the living rooms, the bedrooms and even the billiard table all face the same thing: Paraty Bay. Sixteen guests sleep across five bedrooms and fourteen beds; five full bathrooms mean no queue ever forms; and a garage takes five cars off the road. Here is the house, floor by floor.

The living floor

Kitchen, table and lounge in one long run.

You arrive into the heart of the house: a full kitchen with a marble island and five-burner cooktop, a glass dining table for eight under the timber ceiling, and a lounge with a huge retractable sofa and a 60-inch smart TV. Every room on this floor steps straight out onto the wraparound veranda — with its hammocks, its freezer for cold drinks, and the bay in front of all of it.

The bedrooms

Five rooms, fourteen beds, everyone settled.

On the entrance floor: the master suite — king bed, air conditioning, its own smart TV, a full bathroom and a private door to the veranda — plus two family rooms, each pairing a double or queen bed with a bunk, sharing a full bathroom. Upstairs: a second suite with a queen bed, bunk and en-suite bath, and a fifth bedroom with a double bed. Air conditioning or ceiling fans throughout, blackout shades, and proper linens on every bed.

The game floor

A floor that takes play seriously.

The second floor opens into a full game room: billiard table, foosball, a card table with four chairs, board games for the kids, and three hammocks hung along the rail where the ocean view is widest. There is a horizontal freezer up here too, so the drinks never have to travel far. The laundry — washer, sink and line — hides at the back.

The hot tub and the bay
The pool deck

Infinity pool, waterfall, and a spa for seven.

The ground floor is the reason the photographs exist: a magnificent infinity pool with its own waterfall, three sun loungers, a swing seat with a futon, and — on the wooden spa deck — a hot tub that seats seven, with an outdoor shower and a full bathroom steps away. The water looks straight over the forest to the bay. Sunset happens here, every night, on schedule.

The gourmet pavilion

Where lunch takes all afternoon.

Beside the pool, the gourmet area carries the serious equipment: a barbecue, a wood-fired oven and stove with their own pans, double sinks, a vertical freezer, and a long timber table with benches, side tables and a round high table. Cook the Brazilian way — meat over fire, fish in the wood oven — while the swimmers keep swimming ten steps away. Beach chairs are on the house when you head down the hill.
